Opportunity Details
Cycling and Mountain Bike Assistant Training will provide you with the skills to assist our adaptive and group cycling and mountain biking programs. You will learn how to assist participants with adaptive cycles, the trails and routes the NAC rides, and how to maintain safety on programs. In order to attend this training you must be able to independently ride a road or mountain bike. For mountain bikers, you must be comfortable riding a blue trail and confidently ride around berms and bumps without falling. For road cyclists, you must be able to comfortable ride up to 10 miles without stopping.
Cycling and Mountain Biking Peer Partners are volunteers assisting our cycling and mountain biking programs who are ages 12-16 years old. You will assist our Recreation Instructors in facilitating bikes programming. This training is open to all volunteers ages 12 and above.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 12+, Minimum Age:12+
